Hsin Tien, a southern suburb of Taipei, is located in a hilly region of Taiwan. The area is primarily a tourist center with numerous museums, shrines, and temples. Hsin Tien specializes in porcelain, coral, jade, brass and silk. The population as of 2000 is 278,926 people. The relationship was started July 13, 1982 and is the oldest sister city relationship with Hsin Tien.
